Food is my medicine! My friends who know me call me a Vegan. That’s okay! I’m truly not a vegan by definition. If we must attach labels, I would say that I live a plant-based lifestyle. My diet includes vegetables, whole grains, nuts and seeds, legumes, herbs, and spices and minimizes or excludes all animal products like red meat, poultry, fish, eggs, and dairy products.

I consider myself an agnostic when it comes to god and religion. I am more like Thomas (the apostle), who chose not to believe until he felt the wounds in the hands and sides of Jesus. I am not an atheist or anti-anything when it comes to any religion. I spend a lot of time immersed in Christian thought because I’ve spent most of my life trying to adhere to the teachings of a particular sect of Christianity. I failed miserably.

I am not an expert in diets or gods. The more I travel, the more I realize that I know very little. I enjoy traveling immensely to experience cultures, religions, and food that are different than mine. My spiritual quest is not to find a mystical being but to be enlightened and give meaning to these feelings I get during meditation, yoga, talking with my wife, in nature, or reading.
Please teach me something.
Peace & Namaste
